With so much information available today–literally at our fingertips–finding and knowing what is true and what is not can be difficult.  Our Heavenly Father is the source of all truth.  He loves us and wants us to know:

  • What is true.
  • How to find truth.
  • Where we can find truth.

Discovering Truth

Our efforts in seminary are calculated not only to help you find the truth but to be able to use it every day.  These efforts are referred to as “Doctrinal Mastery.”  Look at the following wheel chart to see how everything fits together:

These are things with which you’re already familiar–we do these things in seminary all the time.  This year, our desire is to continue our efforts in doctrinal mastery, but to make those efforts more precise and more clear so that you can see the “big picture.”

Doctrinal Mastery can be divided into two parts: “Acquiring Spiritual Knowledge” and “Mastering the Doctrine.”  Clicking on either icon will take you to a new webpage where you can find more detailed information on the six topics of Doctrinal Mastery.

We hope you will familiarize yourself with these six topics.  Doing so will help you in your efforts to find and use eternal truths in your life.
