Hi! I’m Brother Crockett and I want to welcome you to seminary this trimester. We will be using this website for various activities related to our coursework and seminary objectives. During the week, I will place quotes and other lesson material here. There will also be a place for you to share how you’re doing with your personal scripture study. I even have a place that helps you prepare amazing devotionals!
Seminary Objective
Our purpose is to help youth and young adults deepen their conversion to Jesus Christ and His restored gospel, qualify for the blessings of the temple, and prepare themselves, their families, and others for eternal life with their Father in Heaven.
Selected Reading
This trimester we will be studying the last few book of the Book of Mormon and then begin studying Doctrine and Covenants/Church History. To receive credit for seminary, you will need to read the following sections of the Book of Mormon:
- Alma 32-34
- 3 Nephi 11; 15-21
- Moroni 10
- Joseph Smith History 1
- D&C 1-4
- D&C 8-10
Attendance
To graduate, your seminary attendance needs to stay above 75%. Please note–even parental excused and school excused absences count towards that 75% threshold. If you are absent, please have a parent either call the seminary at (208) 235-9711 or go online to myseminary to excuse you.
Any unexcused absence requires students to do makeup work. For this trimester, makeup work will be from the Doctrine and Covenants and Church History Student Study Guide.
